Planning for What?

Fake news has been running rampant on YouTube, especially regarding the war in Iran and potential threats to our safety and wellbeing, economically and physically. I crosschecked several issues from YouTube with mainstream news sources and did not find anything remotely resembling what YouTubers were posting. Having decided that those posters were unreliable sources of what really is happening, I marked each one as "Don't recommend channel."

Of course, there is the flip side. There always is. Suppose, just suppose, some of the YouTube issues are real but are not being covered by mainstream media for political reasons. That is always a possibility. It would be best, I have decided, to leave those fake news channels off. I feel better and sleep better when I'm not living in fear.

At the same time, I am improving my emergency preparedness program. Even there, some tough decisions must be made. How much is too much when the emergency may never occur? I would need refrigeration, but should I spend $500 on a 12-volt refrigerator/freezer? How should I handle water? Should I stock up on 48-bottle cases (micro-plastics notwithstanding), or should I invest in a good purifier (assuming there is an availability of water to purify)? Should I convince my husband to pay several thousands of dollars on a natural-gas generator to keep the house completely powered (eliminating the need for the $500 mini-fridge, solar panels, battery-operated radio, etc.)?

This is exhausting! Maybe I'll just go and curl up in Jesus' arms. If someone drops a bomb, Jesus can lift me up and out of the way.

Be well, be happy, be safe. Keep the faith! Keep the peace! Keep Our Dear Heavenly Father first and foremost in our lives! Amen!
