Serve God, Not Washington

Margaret Ruth Henderson of Houston, Texas, had an after-death experience that we all would be fortunate to experience. She suffered a massive heart attack, died, and met Jesus. Was she in Heaven? Jesus said that she was only in a mid-point between earth and Heaven. He then told her things about this year’s goings on that explain a lot!

In a nutshell, we need to stop looking to Washington for answers and start looking to Heaven. The frightening events over the past year aren’t simply the actions of the current president, but rather a reflection of the true condition of America’s heart. In short, we are as divided as the 2024 election results. Half of us worship money, power, and prestige. The other half of us worship God and His commandment to love one another and to trust Him.

How will 2026 play out? It depends on whether Americans choose to trust in a man or trust in God. This year is not the end. It is the beginning of the great awakening. It is God’s giving us one more chance to push aside the demons that threaten to destroy us and to place our belief and trust in Him and His son, Jesus.

That was Mrs. Henderson’s message as delivered to her by Jesus. Now, let me say a few words of my own.
When the end comes, we all will face judgment (Hebrews 9:27-28). If we worship what this world provides, we will not have much in our favor on Judgment Day. If, on the other hand, we believe in God and Jesus and establish true relationships with them, then we have been assured an eternity of the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control that we are commanded to live by (Galatians 5:22-23).
Jesus said, “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:2-3). Can you imagine living that closely to God, looking outside at a beautiful landscape, where animals are as tame as we have wished they were?
That is the kind of life the Bible tells us we will experience if we accept God and Jesus and establish the closest relationships with them as we possibly can. How? By leaving earthly values of self-service behind; moving forward to prayerful conversations with Our Dear Heavenly Father and Dear Sweet Jesus, who love us more than we can imagine and want us to be with them through all eternity; and by using our love for God and Christ to help us serve others.
Thanks be to God, O Christ – and thank you, too, Mrs. Henderson.
