Protection and Redirection

Have you ever heard the following expression?

Rejection is God’s protection and redirection.

Neither had I until NataLee Callahan, host of the YouTube channel Designed to the Nines, spoke it. She was quoting Jamie Kern Lima, an American business woman and media personality.

Essentially, what Mrs. Callahan was saying is, if something doesn’t work out the way we want it to, it just might be due to Our Dear Heavenly Father steering us away from something that is not right for us. If we don’t get the job we so greatly wanted, perhaps there was a reason that had nothing to do with us. Quite literally, only Heaven knows what that reason might have been.

We only need to take it on faith that we have been protected from that something that would not have been right for us and keep moving forward. The right job or move or marriage or other situation is out there, and we will find it in time. We don’t need to blame ourselves or allow ourselves to feel inadequate. We don’t need to allow ourselves to become bogged down in disappointment. Quite the opposite. We need to keep our heads up and shoulders back, so we can move forward.

Here's a scripture from the Holy Bible that supports Mrs. Kern Lima’s statement: “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV)

Who can ask for anything more? Not I!
