Life hasn't been easy for retired Navy commander Stephen McKendrick. It would be easy for him to retreat from life, but that isn't his style. He devotes himself to helping others, perhaps especially abused women and children and Native Hawaiians in need of a good education.

This historical novel is nearing completion, but the wordsmith wants to give it a thorough review before she submits it for publication.

​A Matter of Priorities is the sequel to Tales Along the Way Home. Kristen and Frank's lives go forward after they reach home -- but neither goes in the direction that either expected.
The webmaster is shifting from creative writing to making it a story that will speak to everyone who reads it. The manuscript has a long way to go before it will be ready to publish.​​
